Transitioning Your Summer Wardrobe To Fall

By  |  0 Comments

We all know that fall is the most loved season of the year, but do we also love the splurge that is needed to update our wardrobe and get prepared? This year, with the help of these tips, the preparation won’t be so time consuming or expensive. You can take your favorite pieces from summer and pair them new fall pieces for a totally different look. It’s not hard to disguise those black shorts you wore with a crop top and gladiator sandals one month ago. Take a look at some of our many options:

Start your denim on denim statement — instead of just putting on a tank or sleeveless blouse with your ripped jeans, put on a denim or chambray shirt. You could even pair it with a simple cami, blue jean jacket, some loafers and a statement accessory like a necklace or your favorite watch.

Take those shorts that fit you so good every summer back out the closet, and pair them with tights to stay warm. With this look you can choose any top, from a plaid button up (tucked in or not), a cardigan or leather jacket. Pair it with booties to give it the final touch it needs.

I don’t know about you guys but I have a love for rompers in the summer. Whether it’s shorts or pants, it’s easy and breezy enough to stay comfortable in the summer. Well, for fall it can be just as reliable. Restyle your favorite romper with tall boots, a cardigan, and a hat, and you have a new whole new look.

One of the things that I love to do, is add a scarf, to practically anything. I find myself mostly pairing my skirts with long sleeve tops or a sweater, and adding a scarf and some type of jewelry. I can’t help but to take the skirt I wore with bandeaus and crop tops all summer, and turn it into a cozy and chic fall look.

Just because it’s summer, doesn’t mean that sandals are out right away. Until you see snow or the weather drops drastically, I say that sandals still go. Pair any sandals of your choice with a bell sleeve blouse and ankle length trousers, khakis and a floral or fall inspired button up. You could even pair them a dress and a cute throw over. The possibilities are endless.

Ultimately, add a floppy hat, a short sleeved turtleneck, denim jacket, cardigan, booties and or tall boots, loafers, some button ups, ripped jeans, a pair of khakis, trousers and a couple scarves to your wardrobe towards the end of summer, and you’ll be ready to look stylish for fall! If you already own these pieces, looking like a fashionista this fall just got a whole lot easier!
