Ah, it’s our favorite time of the year – NYFW! The streets are full stylishly chic people, and I must say we enjoy this type of energy in the city. Our editor, Britney Turner, spend day one of fashion week at WWD and Samsung‘s Style Dimension discussion with Taylor Frankel – the co-founder of Nudestix.

Taylor’s conversation with WWD‘s Beauty Inc. editor-in-chief, Jenny B. Fine was inspirational in so many ways. She talked about creating NudeStix at 17-years-old with her sister Ally, and not looking back since. All of her other friends we’re starting college in the fall, and she stayed back at home to get her brand off the ground. That was almost three years ago.

If you aren’t familiar with Nudestix, the brand is meant to be for the girl that’s always on-the-go, but want’s an effortless look. The line has neutral, easy-to-use makeup pencils that come in gorgeous formulas with a simple, streamlined application process

After the discussion, our editor tipped over to the photo booth of course for some fun.

The next stop was the NYFW and Maybelline pop up event where you were able to customize an official NYFW t-shirt by one of the sponsoring designers. There were tons of fun patches to decorate your t-shirt with, it was amazing.

On the other side, you were about to check out Maybelline‘s new makeup line, while taking a photo at the booth to see what products best matched you mood. It was awesome.
