Are Bomber Jackets the new Leather Jacket?

By  |  0 Comments

As we know, bomber jackets have been seen everywhere. From everyday street fashion to the stylish icon Kanye West (who was a little more bold when he wore a pearlized bomber jacket during Paris Fashion Week), these jackets could be considered the new leather jacket. Bombers and leather jackets both are simplistic, yet is the perfect completion to almost any outfit. I think most can agree that they’re comfortable, while being fashion forward.

Between 2015 and now, in 2016, I’ve seen more bomber jackets than ever. The most common jackets are the classic black or olive green ones, but more recently there have been a few edgy bomber jackets with prints and bold colors.

Make sure you get you one before the weather breaks! Check out these designs for ideas of which bomber to get.

  1. Olive – Olive is a neutral color, so it looks good paired with a ton of colors and patterns. You can wear the jacket casually with leggings, a white tee and gym shoes. Another way to wear is it on a date night with your little black dress and some heels.
  2. Floral – With the Spring right before us, flowers will bloom from the ground and from your jacket! A floral bomber adds a touch of femininity to the look. Pair it with a skater or circle skirt, along with some nude flats.
  3. Vintage 90’s – For a feel of nostalgia, one can put on a bomber jacket that is printed with aztec or tribal print, drawn on chains and vibrant colors. When wearing this, you’ll be sure to turn heads. Bomber jackets such as the ones mentioned above can be found in various stores such as Forever21, SheInside, and BooHoo.
